Description

Two years have passed since NYPD Captain Tony Mace hunted down and slew Janus Farel, the rogue werewolf who terrorized New York City. Mace now pushes paper in the K-9 unit as he waits to retire, aware that a species of peaceful Wolves lives among city residents. The Brotherhood of Torquemada, hell-bent on the Wolves' extinction, dispatches a team of assassins to wipe out the Wolves residing in NYC. Each assassin has been trained since childhood to fulfill this destiny, and each possesses a revered silver sword, the Blade of Salvation. When the NYPD and the FBI determine that the Wolves and Torquemadans are engaged in a secret battle, they choose Mace to lead a covert, joint task force charged with preventing a citywide panic--at any cost. But Mace's wife, Cheryl, is a journalist who threatens to uncover the ancient war that has found its way to our shores. Battle lines are drawn, loyalties are tested, bonds are broken, and blood is shed in a war unlike any seen by modern man.

Praise for The Frenzy War (Frenzy Wolves Cycle #2)

"The brisk action and lurid scenes of death and dismemberment produce a lively page-turner with an unusually balanced approach to its monsters, unexpected in a tale that's equal parts police procedural and blood-drenched horror." —Publishers Weekly (April 2, 2012)

"A very exciting mixture of crime novel, horror, and fantasy. Lamberson approaches werewolves from an interesting angle (they're the victims here, not the villains), and the action is appropriately grisly, but he doesn't lose the element of humor." —Booklist (May 1, 2012)

"The action on the mean streets of the Big Apple grips readers. . . . Readers will enjoy this bloody entertaining thriller." —The Midwest Book Review

"Gregory Lamberson seems to have had a great time writing The Frenzy War, an engrossing and entertaining read. The next book in the series is awaited with enthusiasm." —www.HellNotes.com

"[In] The Frenzy War, the reader will get a good dose of horror, romance, secret assassins, and wolves. This is one fellow horror reader who is satisfied with Gregory's latest tale." —www.HorrorNews.net

"The action sequences are well conceived and play out cinematically. . . . The Frenzy War further solidifies Gregory Lamberson as one the defining writers in contemporary horror." —www.WhereTheDeadFearToTread.blogspot.com

"The characters are well-rounded, and you will see them for the individuals they are—you'll love them, hate them, and even be frustrated by them. There is plenty of blood and gore, as Lamberson is amazing at combining a gritty crime drama with blood-soaked horror." —www.MonsterLibrarian.com
