Description

The epic conclusion of The Jake Helman Files

For two years, private investigator Jake Helman has battled powerful supernatural forces at great physical and emotional cost to himself. He's stopped a serial killer who collected the souls of his victims, destroyed a mutant octopus god, battled zonbies on a Caribbean island, and stood toe to toe with angels and demons. If Jake has learned one thing, it's that he can't run from his past.

New York City lies in ruins in the wake of Jake's battle with Lilith, the storm demon. Jake wants nothing more than to lead a normal life with NYPD detective Maria Vasquez, but that is not yet possible: one of his closest allies has betrayed him, and he must locate her before she uses his secret files to unleash unholy hell on earth.

In his most pulse-pounding life-or-death adventure yet, Jake tackles adversaries who have aligned to destroy him. He must solve a mystery, destroy a hive of monsters, and confront the most diabolical minds he has ever encountered--to save his own soul.

About the Author

Gregory Lamberson, dubbed "the hardest-working man in horror" by Fangoria magazine, is author of the first ever TREEbook(TM)-enhanced novel, The Julian Year. Using the groundbreaking TREEbook(TM) story-branching technology, Lamberson has crafted an intense horror novel with parallel story lines, seamless story branching, and multiple endings. Prior to The Julian Year, Lamberson introduced the world to his occult detective Jake Helman in the supernatural action series The Jake Helman Files, which won the Anubis Award for Horror and the IPPY Gold Medal for Horror. The books in the series are Personal Demons, Desperate Souls, Cosmic Forces, Tortured Spirits, and Storm Demon. Medallion offers a free illustrated overview of the series, The Jake Helman Files: Afterlife Project, for download. One of his earliest novels, Johnny Gruesome, also brought home the IPPY Gold, and his three-part werewolf series, The Frenzy Cycle, is set in modern-day New York and includes The Frenzy Way, The Frenzy War, and The Frenzy Wolves. The prolific author is also the award-winning filmmaker of cult films including Slime City and Slime City Massacre (coproduced by Medallion Movies).
